How Vrindavan's aarti schedule works
To plan darshan in Vrindavan well, it helps to understand one thing: the temples do not stay open all day. By the tradition of Ashtayama Seva, the eightfold daily worship, each temple serves the Lord through the day with a sequence of aartis, from the pre-dawn Mangala Aarti to the night Shayan Aarti and closes completely in the afternoon so the deities may rest. The timings follow separate summer and winter routines, so they shift through the year. This page gives the full, standard daily aarti timetable for every major temple, so you can structure your morning and evening darshan tracks. If you would rather have it all planned and driven for you, we run it as a mathura vrindavan tour with a local guide.
For the official seasonal darshan hours of the region, see our mathura vrindavan temple timings guide; to see where the temples sit relative to one another, our vrindavan city map; and for the wider sightseeing, our places to visit in vrindavan guide.
From the ground (Gurudutt): The single biggest mistake I see visitors make is arriving in the early afternoon and finding every door shut. Hold two things in your head: the temples close for a few hours after midday and the exact times change between summer and winter. Build your day as two tracks, an early-morning one and an evening one and keep the afternoon for rest or a meal. If you love the pre-dawn atmosphere, ISKCON and Radha Raman are your first stops; if you have limited energy, do the Shringar darshan at Banke Bihari once its doors open and save Prem Mandir for the evening light show. And always double-check the current season's timings, because they do get adjusted.

How to plan your darshan around the aartis
The easiest way to use this schedule is to split the day into two tracks. In the morning, begin early with the pre-dawn aartis at ISKCON, Radha Raman or Govind Dev Ji, then take the Shringar darshan at Banke Bihari once it opens and fit in the nearby temples before the midday closing. Keep the afternoon for rest. In the evening, take the Sandhya aartis, the Prem Mandir fountain and light show and end with the Yamuna Aarti at Keshi Ghat. Our vrindavan mathura itinerary helps you shape the days and grouping temples by area keeps the walking short.
We arrange Vrindavan and Braj darshan planned around these aarti hours, with the transport, a route timed to catch the important aartis and avoid the afternoon closing and a knowledgeable local guide. A shared day tour starts from around ₹1,499 per person, with darshan free at the temples; our one-day vrindavan mathura tour covers a full day and our two-day mathura vrindavan tour the twin cities at an unhurried pace.
