• NDLS Sogaria Intercity (20452): departs New Delhi around 07:10 and reaches Mathura around 08:55, about 1 hour 45 minutes.

In general the fastest trains cover Delhi to Mathura in about 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes, while most mail and express trains take around 2 to 2.5 hours. Reaching Vrindavan from Mathura Junction

Since your train sets you down at Mathura Junction, here is how to complete the journey to Vrindavan and the temples:

• The last 14 to 15 km. Vrindavan is about 14 to 15 km from Mathura Junction, roughly 30 to 45 minutes by road depending on traffic, which is heaviest around the middle of the day.

• Auto, e-rickshaw or cab. Shared autos and e-rickshaws are the cheapest way, while a private cab or a pre-arranged car is the most comfortable, especially with luggage, elders or a group.

• A small Vrindavan station. There is a small branch-line station at Vrindavan, but it has very limited services, so Mathura Junction remains the practical railhead for almost all travellers.
