Ballabgarh to Braj distance: an overview
From Ballabgarh, the town in the Faridabad district of the National Capital Region, the holy land of Braj lies close at hand: Mathura, the birthplace of Krishna, about 111 km away and Vrindavan, the town of his childhood, about 104 km, each roughly two hours by road. The happy thing for a Ballabgarh traveller is that the town sits south of Delhi, already on NH 44, the direct highway to Braj, so you have a clear run without crossing the city and both temple towns make an easy day trip. This guide gives the routes both ways to both cities; and if you would like the drive, the darshan and the e-rickshaw arranged, a mathura vrindavan tour package with Experience My India can plan your day.
From the ground (Gurudutt): For my guests from Ballabgarh and the Faridabad side, I always say what a happy start you have: you are already south of Delhi on the highway, so no city traffic to fight, just a clean two-hour run down NH 44 to Braj. Come early, do Vrindavan's temples in the morning, cross to Mathura for the Janmabhoomi and the Yamuna aarti and you are home by night. It is one of the easiest day trips to Krishna's land.
