Premanand Maharaj Appointment and Darshan in Vrindavan: How It Actually Works
By Gurudutt, Experience My India·6 November 2026

Quick Answer
Quick Enquiry
I will be completely straight with you, because this is where devotees get cheated. You cannot book an appointment with Premanand Maharaj Ji online and nobody is allowed to sell you one. Every darshan and every dialogue is free. If a website or an agent asks you to pay for a “confirmed meeting” or a “VIP token”, it is a scam, full stop. The real way is in person: either stand on the Parikrama Marg at 2 to 3 AM for the Pad Yatra as he walks to the ashram, no token needed or go to the ashram gate before 9:30 AM, show your ID and request a free token for the Ekantik Vartalap. What we at Experience My India help with is the journey, your transport, an e-rickshaw for the narrow lanes, a nearby stay and planning around the current schedule, so the early starts are easy; the token and the darshan themselves you get free and in person. Go with devotion and patience and remember he does all this while on regular dialysis, so the ashram rightly protects his health. Radhe Radhe.
The honest truth: no online booking, everything is free
Before any “how”, the most important fact: there is no paid or online shortcut to meet Premanand Ji Maharaj and understanding this protects you from the most common scam around him.
Specifically: there is no official online booking portal for appointments, there is no paid VIP access of any kind and there is no third-party agent, website or “fixer” authorised to sell appointments or tokens. All darshans and interactions are entirely free of cost. This means that anything sold online, a paid appointment, a “confirmed” or “VIP” meeting, a token for money, is a scam, because the genuine process gives all of this free and only in person. No legitimate person or service can sell you access to Maharaj Ji, because the ashram does not sell it. So if you take one thing from this page, let it be this: never pay anyone for a Premanand Maharaj appointment or token, online or offline. The two genuine routes below, the Pad Yatra and the Ekantik Vartalap, are both free, both in person and both explained step by step. Approach it with that understanding and you will neither be cheated nor disappointed.
Option A: Pad Yatra darshan (most accessible, no token needed)
The most accessible way to have darshan of Maharaj Ji is the morning Pad Yatra and it needs no token and no registration at all.
Here is how it works. Arrive early and stand along the Parikrama Marg route between about 2:00 AM and 3:00 AM. During these early pre-dawn hours, Maharaj Ji walks from his residence to the ashram and this walk is the Pad Yatra. Devotees line up quietly along the roadside and Maharaj Ji greets the gathering as he walks past. No registration and no physical token is required for this, you simply need to be there, in place, quietly, in good time.
A few practical notes. This is a pre-dawn activity, so plan your transport and, ideally, a stay nearby so that being on the Parikrama Marg by 2:00 AM is realistic. Keep absolute silence and follow the volunteers managing the route. And, crucially, confirm beforehand that the Pad Yatra is running on your date, because it depends on Maharaj Ji’s health and routine and is sometimes modified or paused, check the official Bhajan Marg website and local information before you set out at that hour. When it is running, it is the simplest, most open way to have his darshan, free and without any token.
Option B: Ekantik Vartalap (one-on-one spiritual dialogue)
If you are seeking a genuine one-on-one spiritual dialogue, the Ekantik Vartalap, the process is more structured and it is designed to reserve these limited, precious slots for sincere seekers. It works through a free token, obtained in person, as follows.
Go to the ashram Seva counter. Go directly to the Shri Hit Radha Keli Kunj ashram in Vrindavan, there is no remote or online route to this.
Queue for tokens before 9:30 AM. Line up at the ashram gate before about 9:30 AM, as tokens for the next day’s session are distributed around this time.
Carry a mandatory valid physical ID. You must present a valid physical ID: an Aadhaar card for Indian nationals or a passport or OCI card for NRIs and foreigners. This is required, so do not go without it.
Brief interview. The ashram’s sadhus and sadhvis will briefly interview you, to ensure you have a sincere, deep-rooted spiritual query rather than a casual or worldly question. The Ekantik Vartalap is meant for genuine spiritual seeking.
Token issuance. If approved, you receive a free physical token for the next day’s session. Slots are strictly limited, because of the crowds and Maharaj Ji’s health, so a token is never guaranteed and the earlier and more sincerely you approach, the better.
The whole process is free: the token costs nothing and nobody can legitimately sell you one. Approach it with real spiritual intent and patience and accept that, with limited slots, it may take more than one attempt or may not be possible on a given visit.
Daily timings schedule
The ashram follows a full daily schedule of activities and knowing it helps you plan which darshan or session you are aiming for. As a general pattern, the daily timings are:
Event or activity | Timing |
Morning Pad Yatra | 2:00 AM to 3:00 AM |
Morning Satsang | 4:10 AM to 5:30 AM |
Mangla Aarti | 5:30 AM to 6:30 AM |
Scripture Path (Vani Path) | 6:30 AM to 8:15 AM |
Shringar Aarti | 8:15 AM to 9:15 AM |
Ashram break or closed | 9:15 AM to 4:00 PM |
Evening Satsang and Path | 4:15 PM to 5:35 PM |
Sandhya Aarti | 6:00 PM to 6:15 PM |
Please treat these as a general schedule, since times are subject to adjustment based on seasonal changes, festivals and, importantly, Maharaj Ji’s health and routine. Devotees are advised to occupy their seats well in advance for any session. Note the long midday break (roughly 9:15 AM to 4:00 PM), when the ashram is effectively closed, so plan your visit around the morning or evening blocks. Because the schedule genuinely shifts, confirm the current day’s timings at the ashram and on the official Bhajan Marg website before you rely on them, rather than planning from an old video or page.
Location and how to reach
The primary venue is the Shri Hit Radha Keli Kunj ashram, on the Parikrama Marg in Raman Reti, Vrindavan, Mathura district, Uttar Pradesh. Getting there is straightforward.
By train. The nearest major railhead is Mathura Junction, about 15 km away. From the station, local auto-rickshaws, e-rickshaws and cabs are readily available to the Vrindavan Parikrama Marg. See our how to reach vrindavan guide.
By air. The closest airport is Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) in New Delhi, about 160 km away, connected to Vrindavan via the Yamuna Expressway. See our delhi to vrindavan distance guide for the drive.
Remember that the inner lanes of Raman Reti are narrow, so the final approach to the ashram is best by e-rickshaw or on foot, ask for “Premanand Maharaj ka Ashram” or “Radha Keli Kunj” (our separate guide to the ashram’s exact address and landmarks covers this in detail). Because both the Pad Yatra (2 to 3 AM) and the token queue (before 9:30 AM) need early starts, staying in or near Raman Reti the night before makes everything far easier; see our where to stay in vrindavan guide and our places to visit in vrindavan guide for the rest of your time in town.
About Premanand Ji Maharaj
Understanding who Maharaj Ji is deepens the meaning of a visit. Premanand Ji Maharaj (born 1969) is a revered saint who leads a life dedicated entirely to Radha Bhakti, devotion to Radha Rani. He belongs to the Radhavallabh Sampradaya and propagates the concepts of Sahchari Bhav and Nitya Vihar Ras, focusing on the eternal, uninterrupted pastimes (ras) of Radha and Krishna. His teaching centres on Naam Jap, the continuous chanting of the divine name and he is known for giving uncompromising, practical spiritual guidance rather than comfortable platitudes.
What moves so many devotees is that he does all of this despite severe health challenges: both of his kidneys have been non-functional for years and he requires regular dialysis, yet he continues to host daily open discourses, walk the morning Pad Yatra and answer devotees’ spiritual dilemmas, without charging a single penny. This is a large part of why the slots are limited and the schedule protected, the ashram rightly safeguards his health and it is also why devotees hold him in such deep regard. Coming to him, then, is not like booking a celebrity meeting; it is approaching a senior saint who gives freely of himself at real physical cost, which is exactly why the free, sincere, in-person process matters so much.
2027 calendar note and festival crowds
A clear word on planning for 2027: there is no specific fixed block date or advance-booking window for the year. The rules remain rolling and immediate, tokens are only given out on a day-before basis at the ashram counter and the Pad Yatra darshan simply happens (when it is running) in the pre-dawn hours. So you cannot “book a date” in 2027 in advance; you plan your trip, then follow the in-person process on the day.
What you can plan around is the festival calendar. The ashram witnesses extreme crowds during major festival periods such as Radhashtami, Krishna Janmashtami and Guru Purnima and during these times the regular darshan windows often scale down or experience timing changes. So if you want a calmer, more realistic chance at the Pad Yatra or an Ekantik Vartalap token, consider visiting outside these peak festival periods. If you do come during a festival, come for the festival devotion itself and treat any personal darshan or token as a bonus, not a certainty, given the crowds. Either way, confirm the current arrangements close to your date, as the festival-time schedule in particular can change at short notice. A ready-made plan helps you time all this; see our mathura vrindavan tour plan.
SECTION I · Strict ashram etiquette
The ashram maintains strict etiquette and following it is both respectful and practical (it helps your darshan go smoothly). The key rules:
Dress code. Wear modest, clean, traditional clothing, preferably light or white attire. Avoid anything casual, tight or flashy.
Gadgets. Mobile phones, cameras and recording devices must be kept completely on silent or switched off. Photography and video recording during live interactions are strictly forbidden, do not try to film Maharaj Ji or the dialogues.
Discipline and silence. Maintain absolute silence inside the ashram premises and follow all directions given by the volunteers managing the queues. They are keeping order for everyone, so cooperate with them fully.
These rules exist to preserve the sanctity and calm of the ashram and to protect Maharaj Ji’s limited energy, so observe them carefully, not grudgingly. A devotee who comes dressed simply, keeps their phone off, stays silent and follows the volunteers is exactly the kind of sincere visitor the whole process is designed for. Arrive early, occupy your seat in good time and let the discipline of the place be part of the experience rather than a hurdle.
Let a Brajwasi plan your visit
A visit to Premanand Maharaj Ji is best done with local help for the practical side, the travel and the early starts, while the darshan itself stays completely free and direct, exactly as the ashram intends. On our website and as Brajwasis running Experience My India, we help devotees reach and manage the visit: arranging your transport and an e-rickshaw for the narrow Raman Reti lanes, suggesting a stay nearby so the 2 AM Pad Yatra or the before-9:30 AM token queue is realistic, helping you plan around the current schedule and festival crowds and pairing the visit with Banke Bihari and the other Vrindavan temples. To be completely clear and in the spirit of the ashram’s own warning: we only ever charge for travel services such as transport, stay and guiding and we never sell or claim to guarantee, any appointment, token or darshan, which are always free and obtained by you in person at the ashram. A shared Mathura and Vrindavan darshan starts from around 1,499 rupees per person; see our mathura vrindavan tour. Message us on WhatsApp at +91-7302265809 with your plans.
