The ISKCON Vrindavan guest houses
ISKCON Vrindavan offers accommodation across several guest houses on or near the temple premises, each with its own character; the best known include:
Sri Sri Krishna Balaram Guest House. The guest house right inside the main temple complex, giving the closest possible access to the altar, the morning programmes and Govinda's restaurant; the most sought-after and the first to fill. Contact, as currently listed, by phone or WhatsApp and email through the official temple channels (see the booking section below and confirm on the official site).
ISKCON Seva Sadan. A guest house about an eight-minute walk from the temple, popular with families for its space and comfort; a good choice when the in-temple guest house is full. It is listed on the official ISKCON Vrindavan website's guest-house section. Confirm its current contact and availability on the official site.
ISKCON Krishna Kutir (behind the MVT). A guest house near the ISKCON Goshala, the cow sanctuary, behind the well-known MVT, in a quieter, green setting a little back from the temple. Confirm its current contact and availability on the official site.
For the full range of stays around the temple, including the MVT and nearby hotels and resorts, see our vrindavan hotels near iskcon temple guide. See our Mathura Vrindavan tour Packages or message WhatsApp +91 7302265809.
How to book an ISKCON guest house
Book early and only through official channels:
Book through the official ISKCON Vrindavan website. The most secure way to check real-time availability and confirm a room is the official ISKCON Vrindavan website and its guest-house booking section; start at iskconvrindavan.com. This is the authoritative, safe channel and it shows the current guest houses, rooms and prices.
Or contact the guest house directly, via official numbers. You can also book by phone, WhatsApp or email with the guest house, using the contact details listed on the official website. As a guide, the contacts currently circulated include, for the Krishna Balaram Guest House, a phone and WhatsApp line and a pamho.net email; for Seva Sadan and Krishna Kutir, their own listed numbers and emails. Always confirm the current, correct contacts on the official site before you rely on them, as they change.
Book well in advance. Vrindavan receives millions of pilgrims and the ISKCON guest houses, especially the in-temple one, fill up far ahead, above all around Janmashtami, Radhashtami and the Kartik month; book as early as you can and have a hotel backup for the busiest dates.
Beware of unofficial agents and touts. Never book or pay an unofficial agent, website or tout claiming to sell ISKCON guest-house rooms; use only the official website and the guest houses' own listed contacts. If a deal or a contact seems unofficial, verify it against the official ISKCON Vrindavan site first.

Room prices and tariffs
Prices depend on the guest house, the room type and the season, rising sharply around the big festivals. Indicative tariffs per night:
Room type | Indicative tariff per night | What you get |
Standard / non-AC room | About ₹800 to ₹1,200 | Clean, basic room with an attached bathroom |
Deluxe AC room | About ₹1,500 to ₹2,500 | Air-conditioning, more seating space, updated comforts |
Family suite / superior room | About ₹3,500 to ₹5,000 | For groups of about 3 to 5; multi-bed or studio layouts |
These are indicative ranges that change with the date and season and rise at festivals such as Janmashtami, Radhashtami and in the Kartik month; treat them as a rough guide and confirm the live price for your dates on the official site. The rules and code of conduct
Because the ISKCON guest houses are sacred ashram extensions, not commercial hotels, a strict code of conduct is enforced to preserve the sanctity of the place. Come prepared to keep these gladly:
Strict dietary rules. No non-vegetarian food, meat, fish or eggs anywhere on the property; outside cooked food containing onion or garlic is also not allowed. Pure sattvic meals are available at the on-site Govinda's restaurant. This is central to the ashram's discipline.
No intoxicants of any kind. Alcohol, tobacco, smoking and other intoxicants are fully prohibited; by the ISKCON code this also includes caffeinated tea and coffee, which are not permitted on the property.
Modest dress and devotional etiquette. Guests must wear modest, traditional attire covering the shoulders and the knees; maintain quiet in the designated zones and all are warmly encouraged to join the spiritual morning programmes, beginning with the Mangala Aarti in the very early morning (around 4:10 to 4:30 AM; confirm the current time).
Photo ID and guest verification. Every occupant must show a valid government photo ID (such as Aadhaar or, for foreign guests, a passport) at check-in. Note that, by the guest houses' stated policy, bookings by unmarried couples and by local city residents are typically not accepted; check the current policy when you book.
Cancellation policy. Most guest-house bookings are, by their stated policy, non-refundable, though a one-time rescheduling may be allowed if requested in advance, commonly at least 48 hours ahead. Confirm the exact cancellation and rescheduling terms at the time of booking, as they vary.
Tips for a smooth ISKCON stay
Book early and have a backup. The guest houses fill far ahead, especially the in-temple one and at festival times; book as early as you can through the official channel and keep a nearby hotel as a backup for the busiest dates.
Come ready to keep the code of conduct. Pack modest clothing, leave intoxicants (including tea and coffee) behind, carry photo ID for everyone and come in a devotional frame of mind; the rules are the heart of the ashram experience, not a burden.
Plan around the morning programme. The early-morning Mangala Aarti and the daily programme are the reason to stay here; note the times, rest in the afternoon break and make the mornings the centre of your stay.
Eat at Govinda's. The on-site Govinda's restaurant serves pure sattvic prasadam-style food; it is convenient and in keeping with the ashram's dietary rules, so you need not look elsewhere for meals.
Confirm everything officially. Confirm the current contacts, prices, availability and rules on the official ISKCON Vrindavan website before you travel and book only through official channels, never an unofficial agent.
