Delhi to Vrindavan by Bus: Stands, Timings and Fares
By Gurudutt, Experience My India·23 October 2026

Quick Answer
Quick Enquiry
Delhi boarding points
Where to catch your bus. Direct government (UPSRTC) and major private buses run from several Delhi-NCR hubs. Confirm your operator’s exact pickup when you book. See our Mathura Vrindavan tour Packages or message WhatsApp +91 7302265809.
ISBT Kashmere Gate
The primary northern hub, with heavy UPSRTC regular service as well as premium operators running from here. It is the classic starting point for the Delhi to Vrindavan and Mathura route.
Anand Vihar ISBT and Kaushambi
The main gateway for East Delhi and UP-bound routes, with the UPSRTC enquiry office at Anand Vihar providing a direct window for state-transport options. Convenient if you are in east Delhi, Noida or Ghaziabad.
Highway and metro pickups
Many private luxury operators (such as NueGo and zingbus) pick up directly from points like Akshardham Metro Station, Dhaula Kuan, Sarai Kale Khan and the Noida City Centre bus stand, handy if a central ISBT is out of your way. Confirm the exact pickup point and time with the operator.
Where buses drop you in Vrindavan
Most intercity buses do not enter the core temple town’s narrow lanes, so you are dropped on the edge and continue by auto or e-rickshaw.
Vrindavan Cut (Yamuna Expressway)
The fastest drop point, especially if your bus is continuing toward Agra. Auto-rickshaws are readily available here to take you into the main town.
Chhatikara Chauraha / flyover end
The principal entry point for buses arriving via the NH-19 highway route and a common, convenient drop for the temple areas; e-rickshaws run from here into town.
Vrindavan Roadways bus stand
Located closer to the town centre near Gaura Nagar, serving internal city connections and regional state transport. If your bus terminates here, you are already near the town.
From any of these, see our how to reach vrindavan guide for getting to your specific temple or hotel and our how to reach banke bihari temple from delhi guide if Banke Bihari is your main destination.
Bus timings and operators
Buses on this route operate round the clock, so your choice depends on the time of day and your budget.
UPSRTC (state transport). State-run ordinary buses run frequently through the day, especially connecting Delhi to Mathura (right next to Vrindavan). Specific direct non-AC buses bound straight for Vrindavan have had fixed afternoon slots (reported around 5:15 to 5:30 PM) from hubs like Kashmere Gate; confirm the current timings at the counter or online.
Private luxury operators. Fleet operators such as NueGo, zingbus and RS Yadav run consistent schedules from early morning (reported from around 12:10 AM) right through to late night (around 11:55 PM), so there is almost always a service within a few hours. Exact schedules change, so check live.
Fare breakdown by bus type
Approximate fares by bus type. These are indicative and change with demand, so check the live fare when booking.
Bus type | Price range (approx.) | Key features |
UPSRTC ordinary (non-AC seater) | ₹249 to ₹350 | Most economical; standard 2+3 seating |
Electric AC / standard AC seater | ₹350 to ₹500 | Eco-friendly or pushback AC; good for a budget daytime ride |
Premium Volvo / AC sleeper | ₹500 to ₹999 | Semi-sleeper or fully flat berths, often with charging ports and blankets |
Note: fares can surge to ₹1,200 or more on weekends and peak festival seasons like Janmashtami and Holi, so book early for those dates.
Local travel tips
A few things that make the bus trip smoother.
Check and book on a live platform
Track exact live slots and lock in digital tickets through booking portals (such as redBus or MakeMyTrip) rather than turning up and hoping, especially on weekends and festival dates when seats and fares move fast. Compare the operators and pick an AC service for comfort if your budget allows.
Use the Mathura workaround
If you cannot find a direct bus to Vrindavan at your preferred hour, catch any bus to the Mathura New Bus Stand. Mathura is just 10 to 12 km away and cheap local e-rickshaws or AC electric city buses run between Mathura and Vrindavan very frequently (reported every 15 minutes or so, for roughly ₹50 to ₹70). See our mathura to vrindavan distance guide for this short leg. For a fuller comparison of all the ways to come, see our delhi to vrindavan distance guide and for trains, our delhi to mathura vrindavan trains guide.
Prefer a comfortable door-to-door trip?
The bus is wonderfully economical, but it drops you on the edge of town and can be packed and pricey on festival dates. If you are travelling with family, elders or children or simply want a smooth door-to-door trip straight to your hotel or the temples, a private car is far gentler and it lets you do the whole thing as a comfortable day trip from Delhi. We can arrange a clean, air-conditioned car with a Braj driver or a planned gokul mathura vrindavan tour from delhi; a shared day tour starts from around ₹1,499 per person. Message us on WhatsApp at +91-7302265809 with your dates.
